Introduction
The course helps educators design creative, inclusive, and AI-enhanced digital lessons. Through hands-on practice with tools like Canva, Curipod, ChatGPT, and Padlet, participants learn to create interactive, accessible materials and apply ethical AI use in modern, engaging classrooms.
Course Description
This training course focuses on the effective integration of digital tools and artificial intelligence in education to enhance teaching quality, inclusion, and learner engagement. It addresses practical methods for designing interactive and accessible digital content, creating AI-assisted lesson plans, and applying principles of gamification and project-based learning. Participants will work with platforms such as Canva, Curipod, Padlet, CK-12, Miro, and ChatGPT to develop differentiated learning materials and assessment tools. The course also guides the ethical and safe use of AI, GDPR compliance, Creative Commons licensing, and digital well-being in the classroom. As an outcome, participants prepare a comprehensive AI-enhanced lesson package and an implementation plan aligned with current European priorities in digital, green, and inclusive education.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Design a complete digital lesson plan integrating AI-based tools such as Curipod, ChatGPT, CK-12, or Padlet TA, including at least one differentiated activity and one interactive component (e.g. Canva).
- Enhance learner engagement by implementing a gamified activity (e.g. Kahoot, Quizizz, or Wordwall) clearly aligned with defined learning outcomes.
- Develop a mini question bank (minimum 10 items) mapped to Bloom’s taxonomy and refine AI-generated feedback for formative assessment.
- Create accessible multimedia resources, including at least two artefacts (e.g. Canva infographic/video + interactive task) that meet accessibility and copyright standards (alt text, contrast, Creative Commons).
- Prepare a classroom implementation plan outlining timeline, success criteria, evidence of learning, and digital well-being strategies to ensure balanced screen use and focus.
Methodology & Assessment
The course employs a structured, learning-by-doing methodology combining short expert input, guided practice, and peer collaboration. Each session follows an iterative design cycle—input, creation, peer review, and refinement—supported by digital tools such as Canva, Curipod, Padlet, Miro, CK-12, and ChatGPT.
Assessment is continuous, authentic, and formative, focusing on observable competences demonstrated through participation, collaboration, and a structured digital portfolio. The portfolio includes an AI-enhanced lesson plan, multimedia artefacts, a mini question bank aligned with Bloom’s taxonomy, and a digital ethics checklist. Evaluation criteria are made transparent, and peer feedback and self-assessment ensure reliability and reflection.
